ABOUT

Greenheart Energy Limited ("Greenheart") has been active as a developer of energy projects since 1999.  Greenheart’s focus was always to put renewable energy at the heart of their business and to deliver climate friendly projects.  Since its inception. Greenheart has been a pioneer in UK renewables and developing energy projects in Africa.

The company has developed, arranged, financed, built, owned, and operated power plants both for itself and for third parties, regularly using cutting edge technologies, but always with a view to creating sustainable projects; this sometimes involves adopting technology applications for the first time.

The senior management team are all industry professionals, having worked for UK and regional energy companies in Asia, Middle East, Africa and Latin America as well as Europe, combining the engineering, legal, finance, and analytical and modelling skills of the Greenheart team.

SENIOR TEAM

The senior management team has been working in the African power sector for over 30 years, so are highly experienced and offer coverage all over Africa, but particularly Sub-Saharan and West Africa.  The challenge faced is in the financing of projects, and we are experienced in the difficulties faced to identify funding partners for both debt and equity.  The typical situation requires high level access, since projects can be blocked at ministerial level due to restrictions imposed by the IMF on new project funding where there is national debt from donor agency sources or restructuring.  The Greenheart team researches available funding and has knowledge of U.K and EU funding packages, special funds which support renewables and soft lenders.
