
Mike founded Hitech Energy in 1999 and Greenheart Energy in 2005 based on his belief that energy efficiency for buildings and industry is a key objective for carbon savings.
After an early career in engineering companies in the north-east, Mike joined the CEGB where he enjoyed career development in engineering and management positions culminating in responsibility for engineering quality at National Power.
He is now an executive director of a number of energy companies and has performed leadership roles in over US $50 billion worth of infrastructure projects in the energy sector worldwide.
A fellow of The Energy Institute and a European Engineer, he was a contributor to Climate Change policy at the United Nations, and has championed the use of renewables in his own home evaluating technical and economic benefits at first hand.
